また、NASBAのFacebookページ(CPA Exam Candidates Forum)からの情報ですが、
試験会場から、キャンセルの連絡が来る事もあるそうです。
理由は、Overbooking や Weather conditions だとか。

日本受験の方から、こういった話は聞いた事はないですが、
少なくも米国内の受験会場では、たまに起こるようです。
米国内での受験者が9割ですしね。
日本では、受験者数が少ないですし、会場も東京と大阪だけなので
滅多にない事態なのかもしれません。

2018年12月10日には、Weather conditions(雪)などの理由でのキャンセルが
全米の13会場で発生しました。

NASBAのFacebookページ(CPA Exam Candidates Forum)の投稿を読むと
中には、REGを受験予定だった人もいて、
Q4最終日の12月10日を過ぎても、今年中に受験させて貰えるのか、
来年1月の改定後の試験を受けないといけないのかどうかが、今(12/10)の話題の焦点になっています。

If the test center is closed and therefore appointments cancelled, Prometric’s Outbound Team will contact all affected candidates.

The candidate will then be able to reschedule their Exam within the remaining time left on their NTS.

If an extension of the NTS is required in order to reschedule, candidates will be referred to NASBA’s Candidate Care Department at candidatecare@nasba.org

All test center closures are listed and updated at www.prometric.com/sitestatus

If the test center is open, candidates need to make an effort to attend their appointments providing their safety and well-being are not at risk.

If the site is open, but the candidate cannot attend due to safety/ travel concerns, outages etc., the candidate is required to contact NASBA via email at candidatecare@nasba.org and provide the following information:

  1. Candidate’s name as it appears on the NTS
  2. Name of section and section ID number printed on the NTS
  3. Appointment date
  4. Test Center location
  5. A detailed outline of the circumstances which prevented attending the appointment
  6. Documentation of the weather conditions in the affected area (attach a weather report or travel advisory)
  7. Current NTS expiration date

NASBA’s Candidate Care Department will work on your behalf to assist in the rescheduling process.

受験者ができる事前対策

ちなみに、私が、BEC受験をした日は、
11月としては54年ぶりの雪@東京の翌日でした。
雪は想定していませんでしたが、電車の遅延などで遅刻のリスクをなくすため
受験会場まで徒歩5分のホテルに泊まりました。

また、日本へ一時帰国をしての受験だったので、
飛行機便のキャンセルや遅延リスクを想定し
受験日の2日前の午後に成田着の便を予約しました。

FARとAUDは大阪会場で受験したので、BEC受験時は、東京での初受験でした。
もちろん、受験日前日には、会場まで足を運び、
試験会場の入り口の様子や、カフェやトイレの位置などを確認しましたよ。
